The Queen Mary has actually been voted one of the top 10 most haunted places in America. So basically trade increased dramatically after World War 1 between the European nations, and companies wanted replacements for old ships since Germany and France had new fast ships. And the company Cunard was right on the frontlines. So this is a British Cruise Line based in England and operated by Carnival UK, and John Brown & Company Shipbuilders were commissioned to build these new ships. They started building on December 1st, 1930. So in the Book Ghosts of the Queen Mary, which is in the Haunted America series, one of the authors, Christopher Fleming talks about meeting with a man called Peter James. According to James, there are over 600 spirits on the Queen Mary. Join us on this episode of grim where we talk about the history of the ship and some of these ghosts that haunt it!
Stay safe out there.
With love, Saaniya and Maddie x
