Mary Ann Britland was known as the first woman to be executed by hanging at Strangeways Prison in Manchester. Over the course of a year, she poisoned her daughter, her husband, and her neighbor. And even though she maintained that she was not guilty, she was sentenced to death on August 9th 1886.
Stay safe out there.
