When it comes to solving a mystery, sometimes its better to get out before anyone gets hurt. That unfortunately doesn't happen in this classic film as Jake, a private investigator, gets roped in to solve where a husband is running off to at night, which turns into a conspiracy on water suppliers, which then turns into a murder case. This is widely regarded as one of the best Noir as well as films ever made and we can see why with camera work so different to everything else at the time and a great screenplay. This is one of those films that you might know without even watching it but we recommend checking it out because this is one that your sister, your daughter, or both shouldn't miss out on.
