In today's episode, Sam and Afam talk about what they've been up to during the week. They get into some news. KECOBO selected PAVRISK, formerly known as PRISK, to manage royalty collection among other things, a decision that is being contested by another CMO, KAMP. They argue that they have a better track record in distributing royalties to artists, and allege that PAVRISK have failed at that task. Furthermore they claim KECOBO is compromised because of their choice (07:30). Are artists getting their moneys worth? Is it profitable to invest in music if the returns are not sustaining the artist themselves Afam answers this questions on todays "Quick Thoughts" segment (25:30). Sam and Afam then pay their respects to the recent people we have lost in the music industry (37:20).
The boys also review new music that dropped last week!
