It's 10am on a Tuesday in May. The sun is beating down on the desert sand and rocks that line your view out of the diner window. You blow on your steaming cup of coffee and sit back as you patrol the highway for the start of your morning shift. As you start on your second mug, you can see a dust cloud in the distance. It starts small, but quickly grows in speed until you can just make out the tires of a car. Before it can completely blow past you in the sprawling desert, you begin to head toward your car, but stop short. You know that unmarked car speeding by ... it must Judge Kim Wanker late to work.
