Description

This is the first in an occasional series on those whose contributions to cinema have been lost, understated, neglected, under-appreciated or wrongly forgotten. This involves discussing a career, or part of a career, and some small part of a life (through the filter of my own assumptions and impressions/ these are not biographies) rather than a single film.

This episode concerns the enigmatic (an overused adjective but in this case probably a good one) Zoe Tamerlis/Lund: musician, actor, writer, director and all round artist of the extreme. We follow her work through the better known collaborations with Abel Ferrara and the lesser known such as appearing in an episode of Miami Vice.

An artist who was willing to go to extremes to get to the heart of the big questions of existence without the promise of an any answers, Lund's work might suggest a wasted talent but the truth, if it exists, is of course, not nearly that simple.
