Not having had a chance to sync up with one another over the course of the week in order to coalesce around a particular topic, today we are kinda shootin' from the hip, on a wing and a prayer as they say. We start with talking about Bezalel, the man gifted by God to actually build the storied Ark of the Covenant. From there we launch into what it means to live with the sustaining expectation of the both here-and-now and still-on-its-way Kingdom of God. We can't rely on the dusty accomplishments of yesterday to sustain us. We need ongoing and intentional encounters with God to push back against the desolation that this world constantly tries to heap on us. We can't allow our relationship with God to fall into rote and routine but we must pursue Him everyday to find the resilience we need.
