Dang! It's been a while since we sat in our respective chairs, 831 miles apart, to talk about the Kingdom of God. But the minute we hit record, it felt like it had been only minutes. The reason it's been a while is that we both went through some pretty heavy stuff through the month of November. Deaths in the family, church shakeups, grieving, questioning, and wondering. It leaves us asking ourselves, how can we be Eden while yet outside of Eden? What that means is, how do we go through difficult things as followers of Jesus? How do we conduct ourselves as people looking forward to the coming Renewal of All Things while facing the stone cold reality that life is definitely still painful? We're not scholars or theologians, we're just two guys who love Jesus, long for the Kingdom of God desperately both now and what's to come, and want to honor God with our lives, come what may.
