On Sunday, March 12th, 2023, in the scenic village of Freudenberg, Germany, the body of a missing girl was discovered near an old railroad station deep in the woods. The perpetrators who viciously killed this twelve-year-old child would shock and horrify the entire community. How the offenders were handled by the justice system would outrage the nation, and lead many to question the legal age of criminal culpability.
***There are currently 28 U.S. states and Washington D.C. that have no set minimum age for criminal prosecution. In the episode, I stated that there were 13 but after the fact, I realized that data was not accurate as of 2024. My apologies for the oversight.
