December 10th, 1909, Savannah, GA. On a brisk winter morning, a patrolman walking the streets of downtown heard loud moaning sounds coming from one of the homes. When he entered the residence, he discovered the bloodied mutilated body of the lady of the house. She was sitting in her bedroom easy chair with her glasses having fallen at her feet next to the newspaper. The imprint of an ax was visible on her skull. It was only the beginning of the horrific scene inside. Who was this lady of the house and who was the monster who viciously killed her during the holiday season?
