Schultz is an outstanding educator--not only a geometry & AP Statistics high school teacher, but also coaches boys and girls tennis and bowling at the varsity level, a USTA certified umpire, line umpire, chair umpire and an ITA certified umpire, and even shares his knowledge for the love of the sport and in other areas such as investing. Schultz is originally from Waukesha, WI and currently lives and works in the Las Vegas area. In today's episode, Schultz shares how he became interested in tennis and pursued a career in secondary education and coaching, interesting on-and-off court stories while teaching and officiating, how to become a tennis official, the importance of motivation and goal setting in your ‘daily grind,’ best practices in creating your financial goals, and  investing tools you can use to achieve your goals. In addition, Schultz shares his favorite national parks to visit and how COVID-19 lockdown is affecting both students, teachers, and schools across the US.  Schultz recommends reading “Broke Millennial” and “Broke Millennial Investing” by Erin Lowry, “The Bogleheads Guide to the Three Fund Portfolio” by Taylor Larimore, “Wilderness Essays” by John Muir, and “Open” by Andre Agassi and checking out the Investors Podcast, Freakonomics Radio, and of course the Daily Grind!
