Maldonado is in her junior year as a pre-med student at Loyola University Chicago, and while studying, works full time at a medicinal cannabis dispensary, shadows a neurosurgeon, and a tennis player and enthusiast. Maldonado currently lives and works in the Chicago area. In today's episode, Maldonado shares how playing tennis has influenced her to grow and pushed herself to accomplish her goals. She shares how she became interested in the medical field through her brother diagnosed with a heart condition, her family, and “love for those in need.” She mentions the importance of a positive mindset and having work-life balance during the COVID-19 pandemic. Maldonado also shares her ‘daily grind’ during the week.
