G-d desired to a have a home down here in this world.

G-d desired - A desire isn't a logical 🧠 thing. It simply exists. We aren't able to and aren't supposed to understand His reasoning.

A home - A place where it is comfortable for G-d to reveal His light, thus transforming this world into His home🏡.

Down here - This world is the end of the chain of worlds, each with different levels of revealed G-dly light.

Before creation, there was *only* the revealed infinite light of G-d shining 💫 everywhere _equally_ in all its glory. This infinite light still shines equally in all places, but to us, it seems that there are gradations or 4 levels of revelation, each one called the name “עולם” - world:

The World of Atzilut

The World of Briyah

The World of Yetzirah

The World of Asiyah

Each level is called an "Olam" (world), which shares the same Hebrew root as the word "Hel’am" (hidden) because in each one, the light of G-d is increasingly concealed . This concealment is indispensable to creation because no one, not even the loftiest angels, can see G-d as He truly is or they would cease to exist.

The higher the world, the more the G-dliness is felt. The concealment increases in each of the lower worlds until, here in this world, G-dliness is totally hidden☁️ and not felt at all… So much so, that the forces of impurity, which oppose holiness, can deny, quite persuasively, that there is a G-d at all! And yet - this physical world, the lowest world of all, *is the purpose of creation!* And the reason for this is quite logical: In the upper spiritual worlds, the concealment of G-d's light represents a reduction of appreciation for His greatness. There, the light is less revealed than before creation, and there is no benefit whatsoever. Plus: If the goal of creation was the World of Atzilut, then there would be no need to create any of the other lower worlds and decrease G-d light even more! Logically then, Atzilut is only necessary as _part of the process_ of creation. The process of concealment finishes once this physical world came into existence since this was G-d's *intention* from the very beginning! Why does the process of creation end here, with the creation of this dark and lowly physical world. Because specifically _this lowly world_ is what G-d finds fascinating and exciting. Pleasure is derived from something innovative and unexpected. In the heavens, where G-d’s light shines unimpeded, there is an infinite number of angels who acknowledge G-d and sing His praises. But this is no novelty. They live in a spiritual reality and they simply acknowledge that reality. This lowly world is full of opposition to holiness. When we find a way to reveal the innate holiness present in all of creation and change over the darkness to light - ☝️ that is what G-d finds so delightful! For the time being, there is so much darkness here. Twarm and welcoming abode that G-d desires will only be ready *at the end of time*☝️- when Moshiach comes. Then, the light of G-d will *shine in this world* in all its glory. Studying Torah 📜enables us to be able to handle the G-dly light that will shine in full glory when Moshiach comes. At that time, we will see G-d with our own physical eyes👁️ 👁️. Since this is outside of our lived experience, we really have no idea what this whole concept really means 😱. The Torah promises that after Moshiach comes, the dead will awaken, in their physical bodies, and live once again. But why should there be resurrection of the dead? Why force a divine soul, a piece of an infinite G-d, to return 🙁 to a physical body🧍with all its limitations? Don't worry 😊! When Moshiach will come, things will be different☝️. The body, too, will be elevated and purified 🔮. It will become a pure conduit for the soul's self expression! In fact, the whole world will be a dwelling place for G-d. The world will reach a state of perfection and its ultimate purpose 🏆.
