In this sermon, we begin the opening salvo of Paul's main argument in the letter to the Romans. He begins with the total depravity of the Gentiles (chapter one) before discussing the total depravity of the Jews (chapter two). His goal here is to obliterate all human pride so that no man can boast before the Lord and that all would recognize their need of the cross.
