Description

This week, we're joined by our new friends Steven and B as we discuss their journeys with Body Image and how it can impact your overall Mental Health. Issues surrounding physical appearance in relation to being “popular” or “relevant” have become paramount in the gay community. And it  some people aren’t even aware of how bad this stigma affects them until it's too late. Possibly leading them towards using performance enhancers and/or drugs, developing eating disorders, or other harmful coping mechanisms. The "Party Culture" sneaks up on you and often it’s too late by the time you notice how much damage it caused to your relationships and overall health. How has this all become so accepted and encouraged to be "the norm" in the Gay community? What are some ways we can combat these situations and still have fun and maintain a thriving social life? Or is it best just to cut out those people in your life? We even reach out and call in pro-fesh help from a Doctor that sheds some light on the topic and speaks to healthy alternatives and ways to combat negative ideas (exercise, healthy eating, how to identify toxic relationships and create boundaries).  Sure, we're gorgeous, funny and famous... but that doesn't mean we don't have problems just like y'all! #CheersSluts!
