Description

I know I hit you guys with a super long guest episode two weeks ago so I thought I'd give you a break.

This week is super quick, super to the point.

Two years ago I made a similar episode from the perspective of a guy who wanted to get his life together but kept falling into the all or nothing mentality.

I have a theory I like to call "The Better Choice."

You don't have to be super disciplined or hardcore about life changes, which is great, because almost nobody is.

Instead, when faced with any choice in your day, just make the better one.

Sugar free energy drink at the gas station.

Read 5 pages instead of doom scrolling.

Stand outside in the sun when available.

Give you wife a hug when she gets home.

Have a 5 minute pillow fight with your kids before bed.

Start small. As small as possible.

You'll start to change your mentality about yourself. You'll start to feel like you are worth making the better choice. You'll start to feel like you are a person who actively makes the better choice.

All of a sudden you want to wake up early and get a workout in, because people who make better choices are the type of people who would do that.

You eat better. You work on your parenting skills, your finances, your hobbies, your relationship.

Years go by and you are not the same person you once were.

You are a person who makes the better choice.
