This was a passion project of Rob's after realizing that he may not have fully prepared his children for what they may encounter as they venture out into the adult world.
Rob's book is a practical guide for weaving seamlessly into said adult world. He brings in 30 experts in areas from Nascar pit crews to financial experts, and Navy Seals.
I thought the idea was incredible. Give young adults the tools and foundation for going out on their own in order to have the confidence they need to make their way in the world.
We talk about making sure your children have the tools they need, while still allowing room to fail and have some hardships to overcome. We chat about networking, which I have been realizing more and more is a crucial skill to learn. We also talk about ways to help your children grow without doing everything for them, or turning then into "magic carpet" kids as Rob says!
