Learn To Bless Yourself
"Because he who blesses himself on the earth
Will bless himself by the God of truth and faithfulness;
And he who swears [an oath] on the earth
Will swear by the God of truth and faithfulness;
Because the former troubles are forgotten,
And because they are hidden from My sight.” - Isaiah 65:16 AMP
In the Amplified Bible, this verse expands on the concepts presented in the NIV translation. It emphasizes the idea that those who bless themselves or take oaths in the land will do so by recognizing and invoking the God of truth and faithfulness.
The verse highlights the reliability and trustworthiness of God as the object of blessing and oath-taking. It signifies that in the future, people will acknowledge and affirm their commitments by invoking the God who is characterized by truth and faithfulness.
The latter part of the verse speaks of the forgiveness and restoration that God brings. It states that the former troubles or hardships will be forgotten and hidden from God's sight. This conveys the idea of a new beginning and a fresh start, where the past difficulties are no longer remembered or taken into account.
Overall, Isaiah 65:16 in the Amplified Bible underscores the recognition of God's truth and faithfulness, the restoration of His people, and the casting aside of past troubles, allowing for a new and blessed future.
This verse contains a life principle you can carry into every area in which you desire victory: Nobody’s words have as much authority in your life as your own. Learn to bless yourself by speaking only words that contain God’s power and will for your life family.
All Prayed Up:
We know that words are containers for power, Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” With power comes responsibility God you have given us words, and Lord you expect us to be accountable for the power carried in them. What we say does matter to you and our well-being Father. When we speak about our situation we must say what we believe Jesus would say and we know that it will open the door for the circle-working power of God in Jesus Name Amen!
