Who said it was supposed to be Easy?
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. - James 1: 2-4

10 Ways Difficult by Design grows us we will take a look at 5 today and 5 tomorrow
Difficulties are often by design, and the Lord uses them to grow and shape us in various ways. Here are some reasons why difficulties are part of God's plan for our growth:
- Building character and faith: Difficulties provide opportunities for us to develop character traits such as perseverance, patience, and resilience. They challenge our faith and push us to rely on God more fully. Through struggles, we learn to trust in His faithfulness and experience His strength in our weakness.
- Removing self-dependence: Difficulties can reveal our tendency to rely on our own strength, wisdom, or resources. God allows us to face challenges to remind us of our need for Him. As we encounter difficulties, we are humbled and prompted to surrender our self-dependence, seeking His guidance and relying on His grace.
- Deepening our relationship with God: In the midst of difficulties, we often find ourselves drawing closer to God. We seek His presence, guidance, and comfort more earnestly. Difficulties provide an opportunity for intimate communion with Him, as we learn to lean on Him as our source of strength and find solace in His love and care.
- Cultivating empathy and compassion: Going through our own struggles equips us to empathize with others who face similar challenges. Difficulties can deepen our understanding and compassion for those who are hurting or in need. They enable us to offer support, encouragement, and comfort to others from a place of personal experience.
- Growing in wisdom and maturity: Difficulties often come with valuable lessons and insights. As we navigate challenges, we gain wisdom, learn from our mistakes, and grow in maturity. Difficulties provide an opportunity for personal growth and allow us to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Ultimately, our faith is tested and refined through the difficulties we face. They serve as opportunities for growth, deepening our relationship with God, and becoming more Christ-like. By actively listening to His Word and putting it into practice, we can navigate through trials, temptations, and challenges, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.
Although difficulties can be challenging and painful, we can trust that the Lord works in and through them to bring about growth, maturity, and a deeper relationship with Him. In His wisdom, He knows what is best for us and uses every circumstance to shape us into the image of Christ.
