They Will Come

Let’s Talk About It…

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. - Isaiah 55:8-9

Family disappointments are a part of life and it's important to remember that it is not God who disappointed us, He is Faithful!

Lean into disappointment I find that when I don’t it can and will linger a bit longer in and on my heart. Sometimes I try to “Control Alt Delete” faster than I should, back in the day that was how you rebooted a computer and that’s how I deal with disappointment sometimes. Control the circumstance Alt Alternate the situation and Delete the trauma as quickly as possible. I’m learning that’s not always the best way to get over or after disappointments in this life. Lean into them family allow yourself to fail and feel and to simply be. The Lord God Himself was disappointed time and time again by the Israelites and even by us if we are honest. The Good News God has a plan for our disappointments in life and let us not be so hard on ourselves ValiantVal speaking to myself clearly here family and let’s allow ourselves to live in disappointments and even grow from them!

Thank you Father for lessons in life and helping to care for me in new and safe ways thank you that I can see disappointments as Your protection and a gift for which we Thank You God for it’s in these disappointments we can truly experience the joy of knowing Your unending mercy and love for us.

All Prayed Up:

Dear Lord,

Today, I come to you with a heavy heart, feeling disappointed and let down. I know that disappointment is a natural part of life, but it can be hard to bear at times.

Lord, I pray that you would help me to see beyond my disappointment and find the lessons in this experience. I pray that you would help me to grow through it, becoming stronger and more resilient as a result.

Please help me to trust in your plan for my life, even when things don't go as I had hoped or expected. Help me to remember that you have a purpose for everything that happens, and that you are working all things together for my good.

Lord, I also pray for anyone else who may be feeling disappointed right now. May they find comfort in your presence, and may they find the strength and courage to persevere.

Please remind us that disappointment is not the end of the road, but rather an opportunity for growth and transformation. Help us to lean on you for support and guidance, knowing that you are always with us.

In Jesus' name we pray,

Amen
