“Invest in Our Planet” - This Years Theme
Earth Day started in 1970 and was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin April 22 was selected as a date that falls during Spring Break for most students. More than a Billion people celebrate Earth Day by cleaning up litter, planting trees, bringing your own bags to the store, conserving energy at home and following the 3 R’s Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Earth day went Global in 1990.

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. - Psalm 24:1-2
This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?” declares the Lord. - Isaiah 66:1-2
And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” - Isaiah 6:3

“ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. - Matthew 6:9-13
Prayer for the Day:
Lord we know that God’s timing is always the right time and it’s never too late with God! Father, I Thank You that you have so loved the World and that you are in control of the entire Earth we Celebrate Earth Day and Give You All the Glory in everything we do Lord in Jesus Name Amen!

Why did God create the Earth in six days?
So He could take a rest on Earth Day!
Why did the apple tree break up with the fig tree on Earth Day?
Because it says in the Bible to “go forth and multiply,” but the fig tree was too busy saying “let’s just stay friends.”
Why did God make the earth spin?
So that Adam and Eve wouldn’t need to use a treadmill on Earth Day!
