Flawed & Awesome

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. - Psalm 139:14 (Todays reading all of Psalm 139 it will really bless you family)

Let’s Talk About It…

“FlawSome" is a term that combines the words "flawed" and "awesome" to describe something or someone that possesses both imperfections and admirable qualities. It's an acknowledgment that no one is perfect, but that our flaws can also make us unique and remarkable in their own way. Embracing our flaws and recognizing our strengths can lead to self-acceptance and a greater appreciation for the diversity and complexity of individuals. It's a reminder that even with our imperfections, we can still be amazing and worthy of love and respect.

Here is my list of 5 things that make me FlawSome:

Flaws:

  1. Perfectionistic tendencies (I am working on living in the “Good Enough”)
  2. Fear of failure
  3. Overthinking or overanalyzing
  4. Struggling with self-doubt
  5. Being overly critical of myself

Awesome:

  1. Compassionate and caring nature
  2. Ability to empathize with others
  3. Strong work ethic
  4. Sense of humor and making others laugh
  5. Resilience in overcoming challenges
  6. Being a dependable and loyal friend (Bonus)

Remember, your own list may look very different, embrace your unique combination of flaws and awesome, and recognize that they contribute to the person you are.

All Prayed Up:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today with humble hearts, acknowledging that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by your hands. You have created each of us with a unique blend of flaws and awesome, intricately woven together to form the individuals we are.

Lord, we recognize that it is through embracing both our flaws and our awesome that we can learn to love one another more deeply. Help us to see beyond the imperfections and weaknesses of others and instead focus on the beauty and goodness that you have instilled within them. Grant us the ability to extend grace and compassion, knowing that we too are in need of forgiveness and understanding.

May the acceptance of our own flaws and awesome serve as a catalyst for growth and transformation. Give us the courage to acknowledge our weaknesses and work towards improvement, all the while celebrating our unique strengths and gifts. Help us to appreciate the diversity in others, understanding that their flaws and awesome contribute to the tapestry of humanity.

Lord, we ask for your guidance in our journey of personal growth. Teach us to be patient and kind with ourselves and others, remembering that we are all works in progress. Open our hearts to love unconditionally, even when faced with differences and disagreements. Grant us the wisdom to offer support and encouragement to one another, helping us to thrive as humans and as a community.

In your boundless love, may we find the strength to embrace our flaws and awesome, knowing that through you, we are made whole. May this understanding deepen our love for one another and draw us closer to you.

We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus, our perfect example of love and grace. Amen.
