Family today makes 11 years for the loss of a very special person and I dedicate this pod today to her and Tracy Downer two amazing women killed in a car accident on this day 11 years ago. It’s strange how some dates and even times stick in your memory, head and heart. You know like most people remember world events like where you were on 911 or if you are old enough to remember when America landed on the moon or even Presidential or Famous assassinations. Well, I remember Michelle’s death in that way, that moment you found out and had to cycle through the stages of grief and never wanted to leave “denial” as you simply didn’t want it to be true.

All Prayed Up:
Dear Lord,
We gather today to remember and honor the lives of Michelle and Tracy, two incredible women who were taken from us 11 years ago in a tragic car accident. We pause to reflect on their lives, the impact they had on us, and the love and joy they brought into this world.
We ask for Your comforting presence to be with all those who are still grieving their loss. May You grant them strength and peace as they navigate the emotions that resurface on this anniversary. Help them to find solace in the memories of Michelle and Tracy, holding on to the moments of love, laughter, and shared experiences that they treasure in their hearts.
Lord, we pray for healing and restoration for the friends and family members who still carry the weight of this loss. As they cycle through the stages of grief, give them the courage to face each stage, allowing themselves to feel and process their emotions. Surround them with a community of support, understanding, and compassion, so they may find comfort and healing in their journey.
We also lift up to You the families of Michelle and Tracy. Strengthen them as they continue to navigate life without their loved ones. Shower them with Your love and grace, granting them the resilience to move forward while keeping the memories of Michelle and Tracy alive in their hearts.
Lord, we acknowledge that loss is a difficult and painful journey. We surrender our grief, our questions, and our longing for understanding into Your hands. May You bring peace to our hearts, knowing that Your love and presence are with us in every moment of sorrow and joy.
We offer this prayer in remembrance of Michelle and Tracy, and in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our ultimate source of hope and comfort.
