Five Things that happened on Maundy/Holy Thursday according to the Bible…
1. The Last Supper - (Matthew 26:17; Mark 14:12 Luke 22:7 and 1 Corinthians 11:23-25)
A Final Meal with a New Covenant Jesus looks Forward to a “NEW” Salvation “This is my body given to you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you” (Luke 22:19-20).
2. Judas Leaves the supper to betray Jesus - John 13:21-27
3. The Washing of the Feet - John 13:2-17
14Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them. - John 13:14-17
4. Christ agony and prayer in Gethsemane - (Matthew 26:36-46; Luke 22:39-46)

Lord God, Thank You for Your amazing grace and sacrifice! Thank You for freedom and forgiveness! My heart is full of Gratitude for All You have done and will do Lord! Help us to never forget Your death and resurrection. Empower us now Father to share it with others. In Jesus’ Mighty name, Amen.
