PROVERBS 30
The Words of Agur Ben Yakeh
God? Who Needs Him?
1-2The skeptic swore, “There is no God!
No God!—I can do anything I want!
I’m more animal than human;
so-called human intelligence escapes me.
3-4“I flunked ‘wisdom.’
I see no evidence of a holy God.
Has anyone ever seen Anyone
climb into Heaven and take charge?
grab the winds and control them?
gather the rains in his bucket?
stake out the ends of the earth?
Just tell me his name, tell me the names of his sons.
Come on now—tell me!”
5-6The believer replied, “Every promise of God proves true;
he protects everyone who runs to him for help.
So don’t second-guess him;
he might take you to task and show up your lies.”
7-9And then he prayed, “God, I’m asking for two things
before I die; don’t refuse me—
Banish lies from my lips
and liars from my presence.
Give me enough food to live on,
neither too much nor too little.
If I’m too full, I might get independent,
saying, ‘God? Who needs him?’
If I’m poor, I might steal
and dishonor the name of my God.”

All Prayed Up:
Gracious and loving Lord,
I come before you with a grateful heart, thanking you for the month of June. You have blessed us abundantly with your grace, guiding us through each day and filling our lives with your mercy and love. We are truly thankful for your constant presence and provision in our lives.
As we step into the month of July, we lift up the All Used Up family before you. Lord, you know each member of this family intimately and understand their needs and desires. I ask for your blessings to be poured upon them in this coming month. May your divine favor rest upon them, bringing them peace, joy, and fulfillment in every aspect of their lives.
Grant them strength and wisdom as they face the challenges that lie ahead. Surround them with your protection and guide them in their decisions. Provide for their every need, both spiritually and materially, and bless their endeavors with success and prosperity.
Heavenly Father, I entrust the All Used Up family into your loving care. May July be a month filled with your blessings, grace, and peace. I thank you in advance for the wonderful things you will do in our lives and the countless ways you will manifest your goodness.
In your precious name, I pray.
