However Whichever - You Get the Picture!
Lets Talk About It…
How the divine will of God plays a role in various aspects of our lives, including the choices we make and the paths we take. Here's a breakdown family:
- God's Sovereignty and Guidance: God is the ultimate authority and has control over all things, including the course of events and the choices people make. Proverbs 16:9 (NIV) - "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."
- Scriptural Basis: God's role in directing the course of history and guiding individuals. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV) - "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
- Divine Timing: God determines when and where events occur, and individuals come into our lives at specific times for specific reasons. Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV) - "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens."
- Trusting God's Plan: Recognizing God's sovereignty can lead to a sense of trust and surrender to His plan, even when circumstances might seem uncertain. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
- Seeking God's Will: As faithful servants, seeking to align our choices with God's will this involves prayer, reflection, and seeking guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
- Everyday Choices: Learning to choose God every day involves making conscious decisions that reflect values and principles found in the word of God. These choices can be related to how we interact with others, make ethical decisions, and live in accordance with our beliefs. Colossians 3:17 (NIV) - "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."
- Walking in His Will: Striving to live in accordance with God's will involves humility, selflessness, and an ongoing commitment to spiritual growth. This can lead to a life that reflects love, compassion, and service to others. Micah 6:8 (NIV) - "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
- Faithful Service: Living a life of faithful service to God and others can be a way to actively participate in God's plan for the world. This can include acts of kindness, charity, and promoting positive change. Galatians 5:13 (NIV) - "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."
All Prayed Up:
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are the Lord of all creation, the source of wisdom and guidance. In this journey of life, we recognize Your sovereignty and Your perfect plan that unfolds in every moment. Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, and we seek Your guidance through it.
Help us to embrace the divine timing in our lives, understanding that You bring people and events into our journey for a purpose. We surrender our plans and dreams to Your will, trusting that You have plans to prosper us and to give us hope and a future beyond our comprehension.
Grant us the wisdom to seek Your will in all that we do, to trust in You with all our hearts and to lean not on our own understanding. May our daily choices reflect Your teachings and bring glory to Your name, in every word spoken and every deed done.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, we pray.
Amen.
