“Noah”

Don’t be Afraid to Stand Out from the Crowd

Luke 19:3-4, And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way. (ESV)

Genesis 6:8-9, But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. Because Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. (ESV)

God is Both Loving and Just

Genesis 6:5-7, The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” (ESV)

Exodus 34:6-7, The Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and the children's children, to the third and the fourth generation.” (ESV)

Job 38:4-7, “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it? On what were its footings set, or who laid its cornerstone while the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy? (ESV)

If we believe that God is omniscient (all-knowing) than the ending must be worth the struggle

God will Eradicate Evil to Preserve Hope

Genesis 2:15-17, And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (ESV)

Deuteronomy 7:2-4, and when the Lord your God gives them over to you, and you defeat them, then you must devote them to complete destruction. You shall make no covenant with them and show no mercy to them. You shall not intermarry with them, giving your daughters to their sons or taking their daughters for your sons, for they would turn away your sons from following me, to serve other gods. Then the anger of the Lord would be kindled against you, and he would destroy you quickly. (ESV)

Romans 5:6, You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. (NIV)

Looking at the events of Noah without the context of Jesus is to miss that at the end of the Rainbow is the Cross of Calvary
