Description

This episode we are talking about the Coaching Industry, with Galen Gullie who is the Varsity Basketball Head Coach at Omaha Bryan High School.

Before becoming a head coach, Galen was a star point guard at both Omaha Bryan High School and Midland University and then spent six-years as assistant coach at Omaha Bryan.

In this episode Galen spoke about how coaching is more than x’s and O’s, the impact that coaching allows him to have on young men, and the ups & downs that come with building a program back up. Gullie also gave insight on what day to day life looks like as a Head Coach, and how he tries to find balance. Galen explained that his desire to impact lives and seeing his Mom impact lives as a Teacher inspired him to get into teaching, and the impact that his coaches/mentors had on him through sports drove him to wanting to become a coach himself. Galen not only shared his journey to becoming 1 of the youngest Head Coaches ever in Nebraska, but also dropped FREE GAME throughout the episode on how others can get into the coaching industry.
