Nausherwan Effandi is the Founder and President of Pak Reds, Liverpool FC's Official Supporters Club for Pakistan. He has also been a Committee Member representing all Liverpool FC supporter clubs throughout the world at Liverpool FC's Supporters' Committee. He is currently the Chief Commercial Officer at Peshawar Zalmi and has been the force behind Zalmi Group's successful projects in cricketing, mixed martial arts, and the sporting world in general.
We got to talk about the idea and vision behind Pak Reds and how it became big enough to attract Liverpool FC and foreign media outlets like the Liverpool Echo. Nausherwan has been one of the initial and main forces behind establishing supporters branches and creating a proper fan culture in Pakistan. He has continued this work in other sports, such as cricket and mixed martial arts, with Zalmi Group, who are one of the leading proponents in establishing sports platforms and events in the country. We also had a chat about Liverpool legend Ian Rush visiting Pak Reds' HQ in Model Town and being hugely impressed with the passion of Liverpool fans. Nausherwan also hinted at bringing some more legends to Pakistan soon.
