As Jesus was teaching the disciples about the way the world would be during the final hours of the last days, he tells them a story of ten bridesmaids who are awaiting the coming of the bridegroom, and there were five wise bridesmaids and five foolish ones. The distinction? The wise had enough oil to keep their lamps burning, and this is the picture of resilience which Jesus is telling us we need to take very seriously in these days.
Many will give up and walk away. Why?
How can the righteous stay strong and true in such trying and desolate times?
We must pursue resilience, learning to keep our lives filled with God!
