Today we discuss a fact vs. opinion.  This is the basis for why I love coaching and have decided to be a school life coach.  Did you know that through what you see around you and say to yourself you have the power to create what you feel and do.  The Power lies within your thoughts.  Marcus Areleis said, "Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective not the truth."  While subbing in 3rd grade yesterday, my students were learning about Fact vs. Opinion in writing.  When discussing a fact they said, "You are awesome!" to me.  Of course that was so nice to hear, but asked them, "Is that a fact?"  They said, "YES!!  That is a fact". I then told them about my subbing in Jr. High the week prior where I had a hard time controlling the class of 34 gym students.  They ended up running laps at the end and they definitely did not think I was awesome!   So we were able to see that it is not a fact.  A fact has to be able to be proven and agreed upon by everyone.  So often we are sure our thoughts, beliefs, and feelings are fact.  However, when we get clear about the difference between a fact and an opinion, we can use this to help our brains create the results we want in life.
