Jane & Liv talk to Sarah Botham, daughter of the legendary cricketer Lord Ian Botham OBE.
In this episode, titled "Developing Future Winners," we explore Sarah's unique perspective on growing up with a famous parent, her mother's role as a mentor and inspiration, and dive into the world of competitive sports and what it truly means to be a winner in life.
While her father was out on the field, her mother played an equally crucial role behind the scenes. She taught Sarah valuable lessons about resilience, mental fortitude, and the importance of qualities beyond the scoreboard.
Being a winner in life is more than just winning games or competitions. It's about embodying qualities such as discipline, resilience, focus, and a growth mindset.
Winners understand that setbacks are part of the journey and view them as opportunities for growth. They possess an unwavering determination and are willing to put in the hard work and make sacrifices to achieve their goals. Being a winner means embracing challenges, staying motivated, and continually striving to improve.
The "Developing Future Winners" event is taking place at Headingley on July 3rd with Sarah’s father, Ian Botham, Mike Brearley (England Cricket), Jamie Peacock (England Rugby) and Anna Coulson.
This event aims to inspire and empower young people to reach their full potential in various fields, including sports.
