When the performance of the mitzvot becomes a challenge, even if our efforts are for naught, we strive to recognize that is what Hashem wants for us in that moment, but we do not lash out. Our faithfulness to Hashem’s commands is something we have both inherited and made our own. We respond with a desire to remain connected because it is both ritualistic and our heritage.
