Now recognized as a staple of mosh pit culture, this song had a rocky start in becoming infamous for the right and wrong reasons. Alyssa talks about the influential sound engineer Joe Meek. Although he’s mostly known as a pioneer of modern recording techniques and experimental pop in the 60s, the end of his life took a very dark turn when he murdered his landlord, Violet Shenton.
