It was a great honor to have Shannon Halliday on the show. Mr. Halliday is the director of the recently released documentary "The Essential Church." The film documents how three churches fought back against COVID restrictions even while facing imprisonment. The documentary shows that the struggle between Church and government is nothing new. Church history is filled with governments that attempt to trample on the God-given rights of the Church. The Essential Church shows that in both the United States and Canada, government persecution is no longer a though, but a reality. The Church is essential, and Mr. Halliday and his staff do a phenomenal job of telling the story of these three churches and how the persecution they faced is similar to our brothers in the faith from long ago.
