In September 2019, the NSW Parliament passed a historic bill that would decriminalise abortion in NSW. 

That change has been met with huge controversy, raising debates about women’s rights and the interaction between law and morality. 

In this episode of Footnotes, we want to delve into abortion reform from a legal, medical and social standpoint to understand how it came about, what it means to women in NSW and, now that it’s law, what the next steps are.
