Our podcast producer Steph Shoell just signed for her first house. Steph started the process in December of 2018 and about a month later she was under contract for a townhouse in Bountiful. The deal fell through after getting the appraisal back and she was heartbroken. Her next housing heartbreak was the condo in Taylorsville. She put an offer above asking price, left crumble cookies on their door. wrote a note about how she pictured myself in the breakfast nook and was crushed when I didn’t get it. Her realtor took her to several houses but emotionally she tapped out. She was done getting her hopes up and picturing how she would decorate only to hear that her offer wasn’t accepted. Fast forward to the beginning of May 2020 and she went on a hike where her friend tells her about new condos and Steph was able to go under contract a few days later.
