James 4:6
“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.””
SAUL STARTED HUMBLE AND SPIRIT FILLED!
1 Samuel 9:21
“And Saul answered and said, “Am I not a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel, and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why then do you speak like this to me?”
1 Samuel 10:6-7
“Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man. And let it be, when these signs come to you, that you do as the occasion demands; for God is with you.”
PRIDE AND DISOBEDIENCE LED TO SAUL’S DOWNFALL. HE TOOK UPON HIMSELF THE OFFICE OF PRIEST INSTEAD OF WAITING FOR SAMUEL
Proverbs 16:18-19
“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.”
1 Samuel 13:8-10
“He waited seven days, the time appointed by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattering from him. So Saul said, “Bring the burnt offering here to me, and the peace offerings.” And he offered the burnt offering. As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him and greet him.”

PRIDE WHICH LEADS TO DISOBEDIENCE IS A TRAIT OF THE DEVIL‼️WHILE HUMILITY IS A TRAIT OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST
Isaiah 14:12-15
““How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, To the lowest depths of the Pit.”
