1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV
”And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.“
GENUINE LOVE IS NOT INFATUATION, LUSTFUL NOR IMMORAL‼️ THESE BREED GUILT AND REMORSE EMOTIONS WHICH IF NOT DEALT WITH WILL CORRODE YOUR HEALTH. GENUINE LOVE IS NOT EGOCENTRIC, BUT IT IS SELFLESS AND SPRINGS FROM GOD.
Matthew 22:35-40
Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, 36Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38This is the first and great commandment. 39And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Romans 13:8-10
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Supreme love for God and unselfish love for one another—this is the best gift that our heavenly Father can bestow. This love is not an impulse, but a divine principle, a permanent power. The unconsecrated heart cannot originate or produce it. Only in the heart where Jesus reigns is it found. – {Acts of the Apostles p. 551.2}
CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME‼️IS THERE LOVE IN YOUR HOME
Proverbs 15:16-17
Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. 17Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
Human love can never bear its precious fruit until it is united with the divine nature and trained to grow heavenward. Jesus wants to see happy marriages, happy firesides. – {Adventist Home p. 99.4}
Ephesians 5:25-29
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church
WHERE THERE IS LOVE ❤️ THERE IS VOLUNTARY SUBMISSION TO EACH OTHER AND HAPPINESS THAT BRINGS HEALING ❤️🩹 TO ALL IN THE HOME.
Ephesians 5:20-21
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
COLOSSIANS 3:18-21
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. 19Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them. 20Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. 21Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
The sweetest type of heaven is a home where the Spirit of the Lord presides. If the will of God is fulfilled, the husband and wife will respect each other and cultivate love and confidence. – {Adventist Home p. 15.4}
The greatest evidence of the power of Christianity that can be presented to the world is a well-ordered, well-disciplined family. This will recommend the truth as nothing else can, for it is a living witness of its practical power upon the heart. – {Adventist Home p. 32.2}
