Romans‬ â€15‬:â€13‬ â€NKJV‬‬
”Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.“

A LIFE OF HOPELESSNESS BREEDS DISEASE, DESPONDENCY AND DEATH
Psalms‬ â€42‬:â€1‬-â€5‬ â€NKJV‬
”As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? My tears have been my food day and night, While they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go with the multitude; I went with them to the house of God, With the voice of joy and praise, With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.“‬
Psalm 31:24
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
Romans 12:12
Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer
Courage, hope, faith, sympathy, love, promote health and prolong life. A contented mind, a cheerful spirit, is health to the body and strength to the soul. “A merry [rejoicing] heart doeth good like a medicine” (Proverbs 17:22) - (Ministry of Healing p. 241)
Psalm 33:18-22
Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. 20Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. 21For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.
Even if we are overcome by the enemy, we are not cast off, not forsaken and rejected of God. No; Christ is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Said the beloved John, “These things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.” 1 John 2:1. And do not forget the words of Christ, “The Father Himself loveth you.” John 16:27… Pray more fervently; believe more fully. As we come to distrust our own power, let us trust the power of our Redeemer, and we shall praise Him who is the health of our countenance. – {Steps to Christ p. 64.1}
HOPE REBUFFS THE ENEMY’S STRATEGY TO DESTROY HEALTH THROUGH GUILT AND DEPRESSION
Micah‬ â€7‬:â€7‬-â€8‬ â€NKJV‬
”Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me.“

Psalm 73:24-26
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. 25Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. 26My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
