Hello Creatives,
Gather 'round the Fairy Well as we close out 2022 with a magical tale that reveals the enchanted origins of one of our most beloved holiday traditions.
The Christmas season sparkles with wonder in this special episode featuring "The Christmas Fairy of Strasbourg," a captivating German fairy tale by Francis Jenkins Olcott.
We journey to ancient Strasbourg along the River Rhine, where the cold-hearted Count Otto (aptly nicknamed "Stoneheart") encounters mysterious magic at the Fairy Well on Christmas Eve.
When fairy beings appear in his castle chambers that night, bringing with them the first-ever Christmas tree adorned with diamonds and treasures beyond imagination, the Count's life changes forever.
At the heart of this enchanting tale stands Ernestine, the Queen of the Fairies, whose beauty melts the Count's stone heart.
Their magical romance flourishes under one strict condition: the forbidden word "death" must never pass his lips in her presence.
Their story weaves together elements of love, loss, and the lasting magic that continues to illuminate our holiday celebrations centuries later.
As we reflect on our podcast's remarkable growth throughout 2022, from our first anniversary to being featured on the Dreamful podcast, I'm also thrilled to announce our upcoming Guest Reader series launching on February 27th, 2023, to celebrate our second birthday.
We've lined up some fantastic creators to share their insights with you, and we're constantly seeking more voices to join our community.
Ready to curl up with a warm drink and lose yourself in a magical Christmas tale? Or perhaps you're inspired to join our growing community of creatives?
Here's to the magic we've created together this year and all the creative wonders awaiting us in 2023!
Sweet Dreams,
Florence
