Goes into detail about how to build an email list and why it’s important for business

It’s the life line of any business

Marketing Math: $1/month for every email on your list

• The way to increase that number is by improving the relationship with customers

How to build an email list:

1. Squeeze page featuring lead magnet
2. Customers exchange their email for lead magnet
3. Send customers follow-up emails for a better relationship

Also found out about FunnelFlix, filled with courses and training materials

Kinda like the Netflix for learning

Met with a mentor: Max Skidmore

Helped me with applying to internships and gave me a lot of info about cold emailing

I’m creating a comprehensive walk through on exactly what and how to do it

Planning on creating a lead magnet out of that to build my email list

Potential business idea: sell a course that teaches college students how to network

Lead Magnet would be how to cold email

Upsell into course of exactly how to do every step

Potentially build the email list then use affiliate marketing to generate revenue

The only issue is that college students are broke

Met with Kaeokalei Alo, started ROADD Therapeutic Services

Talks a lot about mental health, can’t wait to work with him in the future love his mission and goal

Wish I could help him right now, but I’m not ready to take on more responsibility, if I wasn’t in school I would definitely help him

Using definely be helpful in the future HubSpot

Told me to look into setting up accounting software

Found two major software: QuickBooks and Xero

Easily integrate into Hubspot, then connect quickbooks or Xero with Ecom business using A2X

• In the army you can’t “jump the line”
• Life is about motivation and incentive
  • If I can identify incentive, I can serve better
• Networked with people who wanted to start a business
• He’ll support anyone on the team
• People knew him and built trust
