Many have worked on their identity as a son, daughter, bride, and child of God. However, few have accepted their identity as a priest. We live in a culture where the priesthood is for the chosen or called. However, the New Testament Scripture makes it clear that we are all kings and priests.
Why is this so important? Because identity determines function. Suppose we do not understand that we are priests; we will not take on the role of a priest. If we do not take on the role of a priest, we will not have the impact on the world around us that God desires us to have.
