Do you pray for your leaders? Do you pray specifically for the leaders you do not like or disagree with their political stance? How are you praying for those leaders? As you pray for leaders, do you pray for their destruction or salvation?
It can be easy to fall into a mindset of cursing leaders who are making decisions that go against our belief system. However, in Jeremiah, we find a roadmap for praying for our leaders, our role in our nation, and God’s plan. The key is that the welfare of our nation determines our welfare. Our prayers, attitudes, and actions do matter.
