In this episode, Robbo and I welcome two very special guests on the podcast: Former Millwall player and Hashtag United reserve team manager Kiernan Hughes-Mason and Leyton Orient's Head of Education Craig Heskey, who happen to be our former coaches!
These two men founded their own junior football club: Newham Dragons (later ProPower Dragons) in 2013 during their early 20s, and this episode explores in detail their experiences and emotions from that time.
As well as focusing on building a successful junior football team, which they managed... (Their under 16s won the East London and Essex (ELE) league title undefeated in 2015. Their two under 14s sides also won their respective league championships that year.)
The pair also focused on consciously trying to make their players into better students and mature young men.
