Rev. Mitchell Boone concluded our series "Reimagine," looking at chapter four of Paul's letter to the Philippians. He read the text through the lens of joy and our experience of returning in person. Many of us are exhausted, thus joy seems hard to find. Or we feel we need to "put on joy," in order to mask our exhaustion and/or sadness. Joy, Mitchell reminded us, is not absent of conflict. Rather, often it is through conflict we find joy when we unite around our common cause and our common calling.
"Joy is a byproduct of our called work together, in our community, as a church."
