This year's Pentecost sermon again come from Acts 2 and Rev. Mitchell Boone interpreted it through the lens of the Holy Spirit as a Catalyst. We often associate Pentecost with the birth of the church, and rightfully so. However, as we all learned at some point in life, fire often comes with danger. It is a challenge to contain fire. And, as Mitchell states, "fire always leaves something changed."
Mitchell also invited us to consider the stories we tell. How are our stories are evidence of the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in the world? What story are you telling? Let us know by emailing us at office@wrumc.org.
