Justinn is back after a two-episode hiatus. We have our first basaboiz guest - friend of the show, Vernon (aka. Phemynina). In this episode, we talk about trans issues, Vernon's experience on HRT, balding, everybody's favorite TERF (J.K. Rowling), anime (actually hentai), and at this point - our bread and butter of the pod: poo poo stories.
*Note from Alvin - Apologies in advance for the kids in the background. We tried treating the room to avoid picking up the sound. That being said, kids are gonna do their thing and no post edit or sound treating will prevent them from being picked up on the mics. I've learned my lesson and will abolish kids having fun during the next recording.
Phemynina (they/she) is a Calgary-born, Toronto-based creative, who also happens to be the younger sibling of Justinn! As a member of the collective New Ho Queen, Phemynina acts as one of the house drag performers, on top of being one of the core producers of the events with a mission to create safe spaces of art and celebration for queer Asians in Toronto. When they are not organizing events or performing in drag, you can find Vernon making cortados for rich white people, or listening to bossa nova while rubbing Tiger Balm on their knees.
