This week we discuss how the book of Psalms are to be not only read, but also used as a way to pray to our Creator. We look at a few of the Psalms themselves and discuss the intent of the writer to call upon God to provide strength, guidance, wisdom and hope in times of despair, anger, sadness and loneliness. Despite these types of circumstances, the Psalms also provide hope for redemption and salvation as it helps us to understand that we must keep our attention and focus upon God. He will deliver us out of these situation and we are to trust in Him.
