#23: I'll be honest in saying that I didn't listen to this episode back because I didn't want to edit the message I felt compelled to talk about. One of my bigger picture missions in my work as a therapist/ coach, is to not just de-stigmatize and normalize mental health, it's more than that... it's to strive for no one suffering alone in silence over struggles and stressors so many of us face.
I hope today's episode landed with someone who needed to hear the message that WE ALL HAVE MENTAL HEALTH. We all have struggles and stressors. We all have quirks, faults, and weaknesses. We all go through experiences that rattle us and break us down. We all have intense thoughts and emotions at times. We all have urges, cravings, and compulsions. We all have done things we're not proud of. We've all had experiences we're sure no one would understand or that they'd still care about us if they knew what we went/ go through.
My hope in reminding everyone that no matter what it looks like on the outside, it is a shared, human experience that we all have our "stuff." And the sooner we acknowledge it, process it, ask for help, and connect with one another over our "stuff"..... the sooner humanity can move forward and support one another more efficiently and effectively.
Please share this episode with someone who you know could benefit from its message. And if you could use some support for your "stuff," you can find me on Instagram @meganmkjolsing or email me at megan@meganmkjolsing.com! Here are some resources in working with me:
